    Spring Hill Mall Opens

    The mall opens with Sears and Marshall Field's as anchors. Coverage notes an immediate shift in Fox Valley shopping patterns.

    Anchors Expand

    Bergner's and JCPenney join the center as the mall builds out its retail mix.

    Kohl’s Arrives

    MainStreet converts to Kohl's as the chain expands across the region.

Public Acquisition & Future

From D. Hill Nursery to the 1980s enclosed-mall boom, Spring Hill Mall has been a cornerstone of West Dundee. Today, responding to national retail trends, the Village has acquired the property to lead an orderly redevelopment.

Our vision is to build a Main Street concept with dynamic town center appeal, shifting from a traditional enclosed mall to an engaging environment for living, shopping, and gathering.
